Policies & Payments

PAYMENT POLICY

50% of the total payment is required at the time of booking with the remaining balance to be paid 15 Days prior to the Check-In date.
We accept checks and all major credit cards. Please note, returned checks will be charged $25.00

All rates may be found on our VRBO/HomeAway online listings.
*Seasonal rates exclude Holidays and Events. Holiday and Event rates will vary. Please contact us directly for Holiday and Event pricing. Taxes included with all rates.

DEPOSITS

Refundable Security Deposit: $250.00
Please alert us of any damages you may find upon your arrival, or that occur during your stay. We will return your Security Deposit within 14 days of your departure providing there are no missing items or damage to property. You will be contacted regarding damages or missing items found after your stay.

FEES

Cleaning Fee: $75.00

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations made more than two (2) weeks or 15 days before the Check-In date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made less than two (2) weeks or 15 days before the Check-In date will only receive a 50% refund.

Check-In & Check-Out

CHECK-IN PROCEDURES

Check-In is 4:00 PM. (Unless alternate arrangements have been made with the property manager ahead of time.) Please contact us ahead of time if you anticipate an earlier arrival. We will try our best to accommodate you.
An email or text containing the combination to the door lock and how to operate it will be sent to you.

CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES

Check-out is 11:00 AM. (Unless alternate arrangements have been made with the property manager ahead of time.) There may be an additional charge for late check-out. Please check with us if you anticipate a late Check-Out.
GUEST DEPARTURE REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Remove any food left in the refrigerator and cupboards.
  2. Remove sheets and pillow cases and leave them on the floor. Put blankets and bed spreads folded on the bed upon leaving.
  3. Please place all used towels in the washing machine, but Do Not run.
  4. TURN DOWN HEAT to 55 degrees. (winter) on the main room thermostat
  5. TURN UP A/C TO 80 degrees (summer) on the main room thermostat
  6. Turn off ceiling fan
  7. Load dishwasher and run please upon exiting the condo.
  8. Close and lock all doors and windows
  9. Turn off all interior and exterior lights.
  10. Empty all trash cans and dispose of trash in the outside trash can.
  11. Please remember you are responsible for any damaged or missing items during your stay. Your damage deposit will be adjusted for loss or damage to the cottage.

Amenities

TV & INTERNET

Free wireless internet is provided, along with a DVD player and a collection of DVDs.
There is no cable. However please feel free to login to your own Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Etc.

FIRE PIT

A fire pit is located on site. Please do not move the fire pit or create fires outside the pit. An initial supply of Firewood is provided. DO NOT leave fire unattended. Please keep flames to a manageable height and extinguish completely when done. Roasting sticks provided in cottage.

FIREWORKS

While ground fireworks are permitted, please be considerate to the neighbors by observing quite hours. Please DO NOT light fireworks off near any building. Airborne fireworks are prohibited.

GRILLING

A gas grill is provided on site with a tank. Please DO NOT remove grill from back patio.

HAMMOCK

Please DO NOT leave hammock outside during bad weather, overnight, or when not in use.

INDOOR TEMPERATURE

The temperature may be adjusted with the thermostat in the main room.

LAUNDRY

An initial supply of detergent pods are provided for you convenience. Additional detergent may be purchased at the Marathon Station or the Lakeport Market. Both addresses are listed in the welcome book. Please DO NOT over load the washer or dryer.

LIGHT BULBS

Should a light bulb go out and you want to replace it there are additional bulbs in the cabinet located in the utility closet in the kitchen.

LINENS

All bath and kitchen linens as well as bedding are provided during your stay. Please DO NOT take our shower towels out to the lake. They are to remain in the cottage, please. Beach towels are provided.

LOST & FOUND

We are not responsible for any items left in the cottage after your stay. Any found items will be held at our office in Port Huron for a limited amount of time, please contact our property manager at (810) 334-6711.

NO SMOKING INDOORS

If you smoke outside, please clean up after yourself. Any cigarette butts found on property will be taken out of your deposit.
QUIET HOURS
Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM as a consideration to our neighbors

PARKING

Parking is provided for multiple vehicles out front in gravel driveway. Please DO NOT park on the lawn or volleyball court.

PETS

No pets allowed unless pre-approved by the property manager.
If pre-approved by property manager there is a $50 pet fee.

PHONES

Please be sure to bring your cell phone as there is no phone inside the cottage.

ON SITE SUPPLIES

An initial supply of paper towels, trash bags, bathroom tissue, laundry detergent, dish and bath soaps are provided. You may need to purchase additional supplies during your stay.
Our kitchen is fully stocked and is equipped with a coffee maker, toaster, and microwave.

OPEN FLAME INDOORS

Open flames of any kind are prohibited inside the cottage. This includes, but is not limited to: scented candles, birthday candles, incense, the use of lighters, etc.
